TERMS & SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES

Terms of use.

Effective and last updated: November 1, 2026

A clear basis for working together. These terms explain how you may use MapNPS, what Google-connected services require, and how you stay in control of your business profile and information.

Your business. Your control.

Google access is optional and requires authorization. You retain ownership of your Business Profile and can end our access.

Genuine feedback only.

No purchased reviews, incentives or review gating. Customers remain free to share positive or negative experiences.

Clear scope. No guarantees.

An inquiry is not a purchase. Services and fees are agreed separately; Google rankings and review outcomes are not guaranteed.

1. Agreement and scope

MapNPS is an independent, developer-led service focused on local reputation and customer feedback for consumer-facing businesses. The application name is MapNPS. In these terms, "MapNPS," "we," "us" and "our" refer to the service; "you" refers to the person using it and, where applicable, the business they are authorized to represent.

These Terms of Use govern the public website, inquiries and Google-connected features when those features are made available through MapNPS. By using the website, submitting an inquiry or accepting these terms for an available service, you agree to the applicable terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or the relevant service.

The public website currently presents our services, accepts business inquiries and provides a free browser-based QR code tool. It does not itself provide Google sign-in, a Business Profile connection, user-account registration, checkout or subscriptions. The Google-specific sections below set rules for available, separately authorized features; they do not mean that visiting this website activates those features or that every described integration is already implemented.

A separate written service agreement may define the scope and commercial terms of an engagement. If it conflicts with these general terms, that agreement governs the specific engagement, but it cannot authorize undisclosed Google data use or override applicable Google policies, our privacy commitments or rights that cannot be waived by law.

The free QR code tool encodes the HTTPS link you supply directly in your browser, without connecting your Google Account. You are responsible for choosing the correct destination, having authority to share it and testing the code before printing. The tool does not verify a merchant, guarantee a review form, manage redirects or track scans. QR invitations must follow the genuine-review rules below, without incentives, pressure for positive ratings or review gating. A static code has no application-imposed timed expiry, but access depends on the destination remaining available.

2. Eligibility and authority

MapNPS is intended for adult business owners and authorized representatives. You must be at least 18 and have the legal capacity to enter into the applicable agreement. If you act for a business, you must have authority to agree on its behalf and to provide the information and instructions you submit.

You may authorize a Google Business Profile connection only for locations you own or are permitted to manage. Do not impersonate a merchant, claim another business's profile, misrepresent your role or use another person's credentials. We may request proportionate evidence of your authority before acting on a business's behalf.

Where a feature provides an account or connection, keep your access secure and notify us if you suspect unauthorized use. Do not share Google passwords with MapNPS or other users. You are responsible for instructions given by people you authorize, subject to applicable law and our own responsibilities.

3. Inquiries and information you provide

Provide accurate, relevant information and only details you have the right to share. The inquiry form is for business questions, service discussions and requests about privacy or these terms. It is not a patient portal, payment form or channel for uploading customer databases.

Do not submit passwords, access or refresh tokens, payment credentials, government identifiers, confidential customer records or medical and treatment information. This applies especially to inquiries from aesthetic and cosmetic clinics. If a later service needs additional information, its purpose and an appropriate collection method must be explained separately.

Submitting an inquiry permits us to review and respond to your request as described in our Privacy Policy. It does not create a client relationship, obligate either party to purchase or provide services, subscribe you to marketing emails, authorize Google access or authorize changes to a business profile.

4. Service arrangements and fees

Website descriptions are general information, not a binding offer of a particular result, price or delivery schedule. Before a paid engagement begins, the service scope, responsibilities, deliverables, timing and fees must be agreed separately. Any payment schedule, renewal, cancellation or refund terms must be disclosed in that agreement; these website terms do not create an automatic subscription or recurring charge.

Google Business Profile is a service Google provides at no extra cost. Any MapNPS charge is for our own agreed services, not a fee paid to Google to create a profile, secure placement or keep a listing visible. Where we charge a profile-management fee, we will disclose it in writing before management begins and identify it on customer invoices. Fee changes must be communicated before they take effect.

Commercial arrangements do not transfer ownership of your Business Profile to MapNPS. A cancellation or payment dispute does not allow us to hold your profile hostage, prevent disassociation or require an additional payment to restore your independent control.

5. Google sign-in and permissions

When a Google-connected feature is available, authorization must take place through Google's sign-in and consent process. Google sign-in identifies you; Business Profile access is a separate permission. Accepting these terms, supplying a Google Maps link or submitting a form is not a substitute for either authorization.

We request only the permissions necessary for the feature you choose, explain their purpose in context and limit access to the authorized account and business locations. Data categories may include basic sign-in identity, business account and location information, reviews and owner replies, and the credentials needed to maintain the permitted connection, as detailed in the Google data and permissions section of our Privacy Policy.

The reputation services described here do not require access to Gmail messages, Drive files, contacts or calendars. New data categories or purposes require updated disclosures and the necessary consent before access or use begins. You may decline or revoke optional permissions, although a feature may not work without the access it requires.

A broad API permission is not blanket approval for every action it technically permits. We must also obtain the specific authorization described below before publishing replies, editing a listing or taking other actions for your business.

6. Business Profile ownership and control

You retain ownership or co-ownership of your Google Business Profile at all times and decide whether MapNPS has a manager role, another authorized role or no access. We do not claim profiles without the owner's express consent, request ownership simply to gain leverage or change or disable profile features without consent.

Managing or claiming a profile requires express authorization supported by a written or digital record. Responding to reviews on your behalf requires explicit prior approval; verbal consent alone is not sufficient for that approval. Instructions must identify the permitted actions and business locations. We must inform you of changes and edits made on your behalf, and keep them accurate and consistent with Google's policies.

You remain responsible for the accuracy of business details you supply and for promptly correcting them when they change. We must consult you before automatically discarding Google's updates or suggested edits. Neither party may interfere with Google's policy monitoring or conceal activity from Google.

Where reporting is provided, Google Business Profile information must be distinguishable from other platforms' data. One customer's Business Profile-specific data must not be shared with or used to compare against another customer's data in ways prohibited by Google.

Before using a third-party manager, read Google's Working with a third party disclosure and Business Profile third-party policies. These explain your ownership, transparency and termination protections.

7. Genuine reviews and customer feedback

Review requests must invite genuine customers to describe their own real experiences voluntarily. They must be neutral, without pressure to provide a particular rating or wording. Customers must remain free to share positive or negative feedback.

Do not use MapNPS to buy or fabricate reviews, arrange review exchanges, offer money, discounts, gifts or other incentives for reviews, or reward a customer for changing or removing a negative review. Do not impersonate customers, post reviews through multiple accounts to manipulate a rating or use automated or AI-generated content to invent a customer experience. Reviews involving conflicts of interest or attacks on competitors are also prohibited.

No review gating. Do not use an NPS score, survey response, complaint history or other satisfaction signal to decide who receives a public review invitation. Do not selectively solicit positive reviews, discourage negative reviews or route dissatisfied customers exclusively to private feedback while reserving the public review option for satisfied customers. Private feedback may complement, but must not suppress, a customer's ability to leave an honest public review.

NPS measures willingness to recommend and is different from a Google star rating. The homepage's interactive NPS example runs locally in your browser and does not save or submit the selected score. It is not a review-screening mechanism.

We do not promise to remove lawful negative reviews. Suspected policy violations may be reported through the platform's legitimate reporting process; Google decides whether its content rules are violated. Review replies must be truthful, respectful and must not expose confidential customer or patient information.

For content on Google, the Google Maps prohibited and restricted content policy applies. We may decline or stop work that would breach these review rules.

8. Google data and Limited Use

The use and transfer by MapNPS of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google user data may be used only for the appropriate, authorized user-facing features described in our Privacy Policy. Where Google's requirements apply to derived or aggregated information, those restrictions continue to apply. Accepting these terms does not authorize data sales, hidden processing or unrelated secondary uses.

We do not sell Google user data, transfer it to data brokers, use it for advertising or retargeting, or use it to assess creditworthiness or make lending decisions. Under our service policy, it is not shared with external AI providers or used to train general-purpose AI or machine-learning models.

Transfers and human access are limited to the circumstances permitted by Google's policy and our Limited Use disclosure. Service providers and contractors must observe those restrictions. Ordinary support requests do not grant unrestricted human access to your Google information.

Google data and confidential tokens must be protected in transit and in server-side storage, restricted to authorized systems and people, and removed when no longer needed. Business Profile API content must not become a permanent independent data warehouse. Where Google permits caching for project performance, it must be secure and last no more than 30 calendar days, without manipulation, aggregation or uses prohibited by the applicable policy. This is not a universal retention period for all inquiry or account records.

Google-connected operations are also subject to the Business Profile API policies. A separate commercial agreement cannot relax these restrictions. These terms describe required service standards; they are not evidence that a Google integration, token-encryption control or automated deletion system has already been implemented.

9. Acceptable use and security

Use the website and any services lawfully and respectfully. Do not introduce harmful code, attempt unauthorized access, bypass access controls or usage limits, disrupt availability, submit spam or deceptive inquiries, harvest personal data, or use the service for harassment, discrimination, fraud or unlawful surveillance.

Do not use undocumented Google interfaces, evade Google's limits or monitoring, access businesses you are not authorized to manage, or direct MapNPS to perform an action prohibited by Google. You must comply with applicable laws governing your business, customer information and any review-invitation communications, including required permissions and opt-out choices.

If you suspect a security issue, contact us with enough information to investigate safely. Do not include live passwords or tokens in the inquiry form, disclose other users' information or exploit the issue to access or alter data.

10. Content and intellectual property

Website content, design and MapNPS branding are owned by MapNPS or their respective rights holders. You may view the website and share links for personal or internal business purposes. Except where law permits it, you may not copy, modify, republish or commercially exploit protected content without permission.

You retain your rights in business information and content you provide. You grant MapNPS only the limited permission needed to receive, process and use that content to respond to your inquiry or perform the services you authorize, subject to our Privacy Policy and any separate agreement. This does not transfer ownership of your business or grant a right to sell personal information, publish your content as a testimonial or use it for unrelated advertising.

You must have the necessary rights to submit content or direct its use. Google reviews and other third-party material remain subject to their authors' rights and platform rules. Google names, logos and trademarks belong to Google; referring to them does not imply endorsement. The website's illustrations are concepts, not customer case studies or evidence of performance.

11. Third-party services and Google independence

MapNPS is not Google and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Google. We do not claim Google certification, privileged access or the ability to control Google's decisions. Google Business Profile, Search and Maps are operated by Google.

Your use of Google's services is governed by the applicable Google Terms of Service, product policies and privacy terms. Other linked websites have their own rules. These MapNPS terms do not replace or amend those rules, and we do not control third-party content, availability, review moderation or account decisions.

Google or another provider may change an API, permission, feature or policy, or suspend access. This may affect a connected feature even when MapNPS has not changed it. We may need to modify or stop an affected feature to comply with the provider's requirements.

12. Availability and results

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website and its general information are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation or that every feature will always be available. Specific service commitments, if any, must be stated in the separate agreement.

We do not guarantee a Google ranking, permanent visibility, a particular review count or star rating, an NPS increase, customer traffic, revenue or any other business outcome. Results depend on customer experiences, your business, platform decisions and other factors outside our control.

Our review practices and policy commitments are not a Google approval or certification. Publishing these terms or our Privacy Policy does not guarantee OAuth verification, API access or successful compliance review. The actual application, permissions and data-handling practices must match the disclosures and satisfy the requirements that apply to it.

13. Disconnection, suspension and termination

Ending Google access

You may revoke Google permissions through your Google Account's linked-app settings. See Google's instructions for managing linked apps. You may also use our contact form to request disconnection, removal of management access or termination of the related service. Revocation can stop a feature from working; it does not cancel unrelated obligations in a separate agreement.

For a Business Profile relationship, we will provide disassociation from our service and restore your exclusive control within seven business days of your termination notice, including removing our relevant management permissions. We may verify your identity and authority proportionately, without using verification or a payment dispute to delay or obstruct your ownership rights.

When a connection ends, we must stop unnecessary access and revoke and delete associated credentials that are no longer needed. A deletion request is separate from revoking permission: revocation does not itself erase information already held by MapNPS. Verified data-deletion requests are handled manually, with the target and lawful exceptions explained in our Privacy Policy. Ending MapNPS access does not delete your Google Account, Business Profile or reviews on Google.

Protecting the service

We may restrict access or decline, suspend or end work where reasonably necessary to address unauthorized activity, abuse, security risks, legal requirements or violations of these terms or applicable platform policies. Where practicable, we will explain the reason and an appropriate way to resolve it. Urgent security or legal circumstances may require immediate action.

Suspension does not transfer your profile ownership to us or waive our disassociation and privacy obligations. Payment, cancellation and any remaining deliverables for a paid engagement are governed by its separate agreement.

14. Privacy and data requests

Our Privacy Policy explains what information is accessed or collected, its purposes, sharing restrictions, security, storage, retention and your rights. Read it before submitting information or authorizing a connection. These terms do not create additional data permissions beyond that policy or the specific consent you provide.

Use the contact form to request access, correction, disconnection, account closure or deletion. Identify the request, the email associated with your inquiry or connection and the relevant business. Do not send credentials or identity documents through the form. Requests are reviewed and verified manually; you do not need to purchase a service or authorize Google access to make a privacy request.

We aim to resolve verified data-deletion requests within 30 calendar days, subject to applicable legal deadlines and narrowly justified retention. This handling target is distinct from Google's Business Profile cache limit and its seven-business-day disassociation requirement. Retention needed for legal or security reasons must be explained and restricted to the permitted purpose.

15. Limitation of liability and statutory rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, MapNPS is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the public website or reliance on its general content. Any liability provisions for a paid service must be stated in the agreement for that service.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Mandatory consumer protections, privacy rights and applicable rights to remedies remain in effect. These limitations do not authorize us to disregard our Google data or profile-control obligations.

16. Concerns and disputes

If you have a concern about our conduct, fees, authorized actions or handling of information, contact us with a concise description and the relevant business or inquiry details. We will review the concern and seek a practical resolution. Please do not include confidential customer records or Google credentials.

These general website terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or select a governing law or exclusive court venue. Applicable law and any valid governing-law or forum provisions in a separate service agreement will determine how a dispute is handled, subject to mandatory protections. You remain free to use available court, regulator or Google reporting channels without first giving up those rights.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect service changes, legal requirements or platform policies. The date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate notice and take effect as stated in that notice. Where express acceptance is required, we will obtain it. Changes do not retroactively remove accrued rights or alter a separate agreement without its required process.

Your continued use after an update takes effect indicates acceptance only to the extent permitted by applicable law. Continued website use is not consent to new Google permissions or new uses of Google data. Changes involving additional data or a new purpose require updated disclosures and the necessary authorization before processing begins.

18. General provisions

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. A delay in exercising a right does not by itself waive that right. Provisions that reasonably need to continue after an engagement ends, including ownership, lawful retention, privacy restrictions and applicable liability provisions, remain effective for their intended purpose.

These terms, the Privacy Policy and any applicable written service agreement govern the relevant relationship. They do not grant ownership of third-party accounts, waive mandatory rights or permit either party to bypass applicable Google policies.

19. Contact MapNPS about these terms

Use our website's inquiry form for questions about these terms, service authorization, Google disconnection, profile-control concerns or complaints. Include "Terms question," "Google disconnection" or a similarly clear description in your message, together with your contact email and relevant business. We will use the request to address your concern, not to enroll you in marketing.
